The building that houses the Yellow Coach has a long history in Schroon Lake. The above picture was taken prior to 1950. The building was originally part of the Brown Swan Inn, a very fine resort hotel in Schroon Lake.(now the Word of Life Inn) At the time of this picture, the businesses were the Brown Swan Pub and Gift Shop and the U. S. Post Office. Over the years other businesses have occupied the space including Dunn's Beauty Salon and Jim Cheeney's Christmas Crafts. Through all of the years the building has changed very little in looks.
